Must be able to work under pressure and in stressful situations in a professional manner. This position will work closely with families, Service Coordinators, managers of the HCS and TxHmLiving programs and Behavior Support personnel. Will be expected to work cooperatively with other departments, the community and will be the primary contact for families. This position will be required to implement and follow behavior support programs for those individuals requiring such interventions. This position will be required to comply with funding source requirements and standards and operate within the guidelines of various programs utilizing respite. This position will be required to develop a tracking system, implementing and monitoring all respite services for individuals in IDD services. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, monitoring day usage, scheduling, service validation, assisting individuals in care with their ADL's, lifting and internal service development. Programmatic development, monitoring standards and fiscal compliance are essential. Population will include both children and adult clients with autism, pervasive developmental disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and their families. Skills in written and oral communication, problem solving and teamwork are essential. May be required to carry a rotating pager after hours to assist in handling emergencies. This position reports directly to the Cypress Activity Center IDD Programs Administrator.

Proven organizational and communication skills required.
Proven ability to manage and follow budgetary guidelines.
Prefer experience working with persons with disabilities and their families.
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and be an insurable driver.
Ability to lift 55 pounds per PMAB requirements.
