This position is responsible for implementing the YES Wavier program that provides comprehensive home and community-based mental health services to qualifying children, adolescents, and families served by the Center, residing in Jones, Callahan, Shackleford, Stephens, and Taylor Counties. This position will provide paraprofessional supports to the consumers of the YES Waiver/ Wraparound. The supports may be provided in the Waiver participant’s residence or in community settings. Training will be in skills related to activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, household chores, socialization, medication training, and job placement. This position is responsible for finding and/or developing necessary community resources for implementation of the YES Wavier programming. This position is 20 hours per week and services are expected to be delivered on late afternoons on variable weekdays and at 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The position must be able to work well with other child serving agencies such as local schools, Juvenile Probation, Child Protective Services, etc. This position requires intervention for treatment and frequent in-person contact with children, families, and other services providers. This position requires the ability to identify problem/need areas; work under pressure and stressful situations in a professional manner; be thorough in assessment and documentation; locate and utilize a variety of community resources to meet the needs of children in their families; assist in negotiating and advocating for each individual with services entities outside the center and a positive relationship with the child and their family. This position reports to the C&A Program Administrator.
